Jim is a native of Loyalsock Township, PA and a graduate of Williamsport High School (Aviation Technical Course). Following graduation from High School, he entered the U.S.M.C. where he was assigned to the Headquarters Marine Corps, Flight Section, and over his career in the military worked on many aircraft ie., C-54s, T-28s, C-117s, UH-37s and was Crew Chief on U11A aircraft and UH34D helicopters. Jim served in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1966.

Jim was employed by Avco Lycoming (now known as Lycoming Engines, and formerly known as Textron Lycoming) from 1966 through 1992 where he held various positions with the company (see resume). In 1973 he was assigned to the Piper Aircraft factory in Lakeland, FL as a Field Service Engineer. I n 1981 he was cross-trained by Textron in turbine engines and in 1981 was re-assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard program in Mobile, AL in July of 1983. He has been self-employed since 1993.

He is married to the former Rebecca (Becky) A. Moore, and they are the parents of two daughters and the grandparents of four.
 

Becky is a Montoursville, PA native and a graduate of Montoursville High School. While living in Lakeland FL from 1973 through 1983 she worked for Polk County Schools in the physically challenged department on the junior high school level until the family moved to Mobile, AL. In Mobile, Becky became a licensed Realtor and was employed by Century 21 until January 1986 when the family returned to Montoursville, PA.

Becky is a Pennsylvania licensed Realtor, employed most recently by Prudential Hodrick Realty (where her license is active) although she is presently maintaining the office for Aviation Accident Investigations for her husband Jim.
